This is an amazing accomplishment. I can only imagine the tremendous amount of work involved bringing this project to completion. The Memorial will be a blessing and benefit to the Town and Municipality as well as its citizens for many years to come.

I was pleased to hear of the unveiling of this memorial and look forward to being there for this importasnt event. My Great Great Uncle whom I am named after, was Captain Stanley Hatfield of the Sailing Ship "Lennie" which sailed out of Yarmouth. Captain Hatfield was murdered on October 31,1875 during the "Mutiny on the Lennie" I am a Piper and have played the "Lament" during the Remembrance Day Ceremony in the Yarmouth Arena for the past few years. I plan to play a few tunes at the memorial at some point after it is unveiled to the Public. If there is any interest in having a Piper on hand to play during the unveiling ceremonies, I would be greatly honored to play. Thank You

I was wondering about this memorial. My grandfather died Feb 1946 he was part of the crew of the Robert Cann. I am pleased that his name has been submitted. I travel to Yarmouth every year. I would like to make a donation, plus see this memorial.

I think the memorial is a wonderful idea, I know now that my grandfather whom I never met will be on it. I will be taking a picture of this for my memory book, thank you for doing a great thing.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Lost to the Sea memorial completed. As a newer member of the Yarmouth community, I am fascinated by the maritime history. I've found out that the home I currently own was the home of Captain Peters who was lost in 1946..... Now I'm curious to find out more about himself, family, and the tragedy at sea.
